Overdue Locs Interlocking Retightening

Service Description

This service is for clients whose locs have excessive new growth, significant undergrowth, loc marrying, matting at the roots, or who have gone an extended period without maintenance. Due to the additional time, precision, and separation work required, this service is booked separately from standard maintenance appointments. Maintenance is performed using the interlocking method without gels, waxes, or heavy styling products. Please arrive with your locs freshly cleansed and treated. Hair must have been washed within the last 3–5 days before your appointment. Clients whose hair has not been freshly cleansed must book a cleansing and treatment service alongside their appointment. This service is recommended for: • Clients with heavy new growth • Locs requiring root separation • Clients returning after several months without maintenance • Locs experiencing marrying or matting at the roots • Clients restarting a consistent maintenance routine Loc Size Categories Large Locs Typically fewer than 70 locs. Estimated duration: approximately 2 hours. Medium Locs Typically around 70–110 locs. Estimated duration: approximately 3 hours. Small Locs Typically around 110–199 locs. Estimated duration: approximately 4 hours. Micro Locs Typically 200+ locs. Estimated duration: approximately 5+ hours depending on condition and maintenance history. Please note: Appointments for overdue maintenance may require additional time depending on: • Severity of matting or marrying • Length of time since last retightening • Hair density and loc size • Amount of root separation required In cases of severe matting or excessive buildup, multiple sessions may be recommended.
